Power Lunch with Miles Braxton

The Duke University Energy Initiative is pleased to welcome Miles Braxton as a Power Lunch speaker. All Duke students are invited to register for this event.
Miles Braxton serves as a business development analyst on the Sol Customer Solutions team at Sol Systems, where he helps to investigate and engage potential clients in emerging solar markets, in addition to creating preliminary solar array designs for proposals.
Previously, Braxton completed a renewable energy fellowship at ITility, where he helped a small project management team convert 220 tons of chicken manure into 2 MW of electricity through anaerobic digestion processes in a contract with the Maryland Energy Administration (MEA). There, he also conducted outreach to local government agencies to have them include anaerobic digestion technology in upcoming renewable energy RFPs.
Braxton graduated from the University of Virginia with a B.S. in Environmental Science. While at UVA, he founded Black Leaders for Environmental Sustainability (BLES), an organization that works to install interactive solar charging stations around campus grounds and encourages minority students to increase their sustainability awareness and efforts. Miles is currently pursuing a certificate in Financing and Deploying Clean Energy through the Yale Center of Business and Environment (CBEY).
Lunch will be provided.
