Can you take your Duke laptop to India? Should you check your work e-mail from your hotel in China? Panelists will address these questions and many more as they discuss the convenience and challenges of traveling internationally with technology. Learn about best practices for bringing devices and data with you overseas and how to comply with evolving regulations for flying and traveling outside of the U.S and at border entries around the world. Hear advice on how to reduce exposure to cybersecurity threats and how to securely access Duke technology resources from overseas. This session will present a number of tips for traveling with technology, Duke policies which inform those tips, and direction to additional resources for future use. Learn IT @ Lunch is designed to be an opportunity to learn about technology in a relaxed lunch environment. Each session includes a presentation followed by Q & A. No pre-registration is required. Seating is available on a first come, first served basis. NOTE: Lunch is not provided. Feel free to bring a brown bag lunch.
