STEM in Color: A Celebration of Women of Color in STEM

Please join us for the first "STEM in Color: A Celebration of Women in STEM" brunch and keynote held on Saturday, February 16th from 9:30-11:30am.

Our keynote speaker, Dr. Ruthie D. Lyle, is a Lead Research Engineering with USAA Chief Technology Office of Research, a prolific inventor with 164 issued patents, and the first African American woman to earn her doctorate in Electrical Engineering from NYU's Tandon School of Engineering among many other notable accomplishments.

She will discuss the "double-bind" that women of color in STEM face and share her personal triumph over challenges in her academic and professional journey to encourage and motivate our students to continue to persistent in their chosen STEM disciplines.
