The 2019 AAHVS Graduate Student Symposium will take place on Friday, February 22nd in Room A266 (Collision Space), Bay 10 on the second floor of Smith Warehouse.

Papers and presentations will take place from 2:30-4:30pm. Kelly C. Tang will present the paper "The Fantastic Theater of Chinese Art in the Twentieth-Century." Felipe Alvarez de Toledo will present the paper "Beyond Murillo: New Data-Driven Research on the Painting Market in Early Modern Seville." Amanda Lazarus will present the paper "Present but not Accounted For: Panathenaia, Death, and the Image of the Maiden in Classical Athens."

The keynote address "Architectural Networks, Painted and Lived" will be presented by Elisabeth Narkin (Postdoctoral Fellow, Rice University, Humanities Research Center) from 5:00pm-6:30pm.

Attendance is free and open to the public. Paid visitor parking lots are located on Maxwell Ave. Sponsored by the Duke University Department of Art, Art History & Visual Studies.
