NIH Update & Panel on Rigor and Reproducibility
Targeted to faculty but open to all. The session will begin with an update from and Q&A with Tim Walsh, Vice President for Finance and Chair of the University's research administration continuous improvement (RACI) initiative. This will be followed by a faculty panel discussion on demonstrating rigor and reproducibility in grant applications and enhancing and ensuring rigor and reproducibility in a variety of research settings, from individual labs to collaborative and multi-institutional teams. Confirmed panelists to date are Drs. Eun-Ok Im (School of Nursing); Ken Poss (School of Medicine); and Allen Song (School of Medicine). (Campus representative still in recruitment.) The panel discussion will be moderated by Joanna Downer, Associate Dean for Research Development at the School of Medicine, and time will be reserved for Q&A.
