Hye-Bin Song, piano

Program: D. Scarlatti: Sonata in B Minor, K. 87 and Sonata in E Major, K. 380; Ravel: Gaspard de la nuit: III. Scarbo; Beethoven: Piano Sonata No. 31, Op. 110; Hye-Bin Song: Wind Etudes for Piano; Liszt: Mephisto Waltz No. 1, S. 514. Award-winning pianist Hye-Bin (Monica) Song has performed throughout the United States and abroad since the age of thirteen. Recent highlights include recitals at Carnegie (Weill Recital Hall), Sejong Center for the Performing Arts and Alma Mater Cultural Center in Korea, and Teatro Auditorium Collegio Vescovile Barbargio in Italy. She has won top prizes at the Padova International Virtuoso Competition (Italy), Berlin Rising Stars Grand Prix International Music Competition (Germany), and many others. Ms. Song is currently working as a pianist at Duke University and UNC Chapel Hill, and is on the faculty at the Raleigh Community Music School.
