EPIC Seminar Series

The Eukaryotic Pathogenesis Investigators Colloquia (EPIC) is a student-run seminar series focused broadly on eukaryotic pathogenesis. The 2nd Annual EPIC Symposium will consist of two sections focused on fungal and parasitic pathogenesis and will feature both clinical and basic research talks. Keynote speakers for each section, as well as additional faculty from the Research Triangle area have been invited to speak. A career session with representatives from industry, publishing, and outreach will be held during lunch. A poster session highlighting graduate students and postdoctoral fellows will be held at a happy hour directly following the day's talks.
Keynote presentations will be made by Stuart Levitz, MD (University of Massachusetts Medical School) and William Petri, MD/PhD (University of Virginia School of Medicine). Additional speakers include Kirsten Nielsen, PhD (University of Minnesota Medical School, MMPTP alumna), Mari Shinohara, PhD (Duke), Katherine Franz, PhD (Duke), Steven Haase, PhD (Duke), and Jonathan Parr, MD/PhD (UNC).
