RUBY FRIDAYS is a new series of casual art talks at the Rubenstein Arts Center, free lunch included! Speakers include Duke faculty and students who have produced work during a Rubenstein Arts Center arts project residency, as well as visiting artists and local NC creatives. Learn about the behind-the-scenes aspect of the creative process, careers in the arts, and more.

CORNERED is a new video installation by Raquel Salvatella de Prada, a professor in the Department of Art, Art History & Visual Studies at Duke. It represents the motivation and struggles of African immigrants leaving their home country and making an attempt, most often failed, to cross the border from Morocco to the Spanish cities of Melilla and Ceuta, the only European cities on Africa's mainland.

This Ruby Friday event is your opportunity learn about this multifaceted and collaborative work from its creator, and then experience it yourself.
