Monday, October 01, 2018
10:30 am - 12:00 pm

Join other homeschool students at Duke Gardens in a small group setting with classes designed to maximize exploration in nature. This fall, on four Mondays in Sept., Oct. and Nov., explore the full scope of your senses. Learn how other living things perceive the world around them, and why their senses might be similar or different to yours. How do different senses help living things to learn and survive?

Smell & Taste
Savor the tastes and smells of Duke Gardens. Sample herbs, fruits, and vegetables grown here and connect them to food systems. Discover how other living things use smell and taste to communicate, find their food, avoid being food for another animal, attract partners, and more.
Meet at the Doris Duke Center.
