BCS1819
Sunday, September 30, 2018
5:15 pm - 6:15 pm
Dr. Philip Cave, director
Bach Cantata Series

For this first Bach Cantata of the year, the program features J.S. Bach's sublime cantata "Weinen, Klagen, Sorgen, Zagen" together with cantatas by Bach's predecessors Dietrich Buxtehude and Johann Pachelbel, performed on period instruments with professional soloists and directed by Dr. Philip Cave, associate conductor for Chapel Music and interim director of Chapel Choir.

Parking is available for $5 in the Bryan Center Parking Garage at 125 Science Drive. ADA parking is available at the same address in the Bryan Center Surface Lot.

Bach's cantatas exist to teach, challenge, and inspire those who experience them Soli Deo gloria. The Chapel's Bach Canata series presents the works of Bach and others, with period instrument orchestras, local singers, and professional soloists.

Come early at 4:00 p.m. for a special Choral Evensong worship service for the Feast of St. Michael and All Angels with music for the occasion.
