Free Family Day: Kids Go Pop in Pop América!
Explore all things Pop art as we celebrate the exhibition Pop América and create our own pop-tastic works of art.
Watch and participate in dance performances with The Arts in Action L.E.A.P. Team. Don't miss a custom poem written by the Poetry Fox before banging out your own verses on our vintage typewriters.
Free Family Days at the Nasher Museum are supported by The Forest at Duke.
The Nasher Museum of Art at Duke University is proud to support the groundbreaking research of guest curator and Duke Professor Esther Gabara with "Pop América, 1965-1975." This exhibition is the first to present a hemispheric vision of Pop art; it shows how Latin American and Latino/a artists made a significant contribution to this artistic period. Visitors who know and love Pop art for its engaging imagery will rediscover Pop as a verb, a strategy for communicating powerful content throughout the Americas.
