A retrospective recital performed on 2 historic pianos and the Steinway concert grand. Program: Vo¿í¿ek: Impromptu in A Major, Op. 7, No. 4; Beethoven: Piano Sonata No. 23 in F Minor, Op. 57 "Appassionata"; Debussy: from Préludes, Book 2, Nos. 7 & 3; Ravel: Jeux d'eau; Brahms: Piano Pieces, Op. 119; Love: Inside a Song; Rachmaninoff: from Op. 32: Preludes 8, 10 & 12; Études-Tableaux in D Minor, Op. 39, No. 8. Randall Love is a member of the Duke music faculty where he teaches piano and fortepiano. He has performed at the Piccolo Spoleto Festival in Charleston, SC; the Boston Early Music Festival, and the Schubert Club in St. Paul, MN. He has recorded solo works of Vorísek for the Titanic label and has also collaborated with Capitol Chamber Artists of Albany, NY, in concerts and a recording of Haydn's London Symphonies in a chamber version by Johann Salomon. This concert is part of the North Carolina HIP (Historically-Informed Performance) Festival.
