12th Annual Dorothy L. Powell Global Health Lecture

Every year, the Office of Global and Community Health Initiatives (OGACHI) in the Duke University School of Nursing (DUSON) sponsors the Annual Dorothy L. Powell Global Health Lecture. The annual lecture is an opportunity to bring a distinguished international expert to the campus community to address areas of particular global significance and/or critical challenges facing nursing, while furthering our strong commitment to global health. Previous lecturers have included Paul Farmer (Partners in Health), Sir George Alleyne (PAHO), Gary Cohen (Becton Dickinson), and David Satcher (former U.S. Surgeon General), Donatilla Mukamana (Dean of the University of Rwanda School of Nursing & Midwifery), and most recently Annette Kennedy (President, International Council of Nurses), among others. The event is attended by students, faculty and health professionals from across the campus and neighboring institutions, with multiple disciplines represented. This event is FREE and open to the public. Registration is required. 1.0 CEU approved for nurses. Register here: https://duke.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_9YqR4ywjPhpZ9oF
