"The Texas Chainsaw Massacre"
(Tobe Hooper, 1974, 83 min, USA, English, DCP)

When Sally hears that her grandfather's grave may have been vandalized, she and her paraplegic brother set out with their friends to investigate. After a detour to their family's old farmhouse, they discover a group of crazed, murderous outcasts living next door. As the group is attacked one by one by the chainsaw-wielding Leatherface, who wears a mask of human skin, the survivors must do everything they can to escape.

"The most purely horrifying horror movie ever made. . .Tobe Hooper's sick, inventive little film remains as disturbing, suspenseful and shattering as the day it first saw the light of a drive-in screen." - Empire

"'The Texas Chainsaw Massacre' is a vile little piece of sick crap" - Stephen Koch

"Few films are as unshakeable as the original 'Chainsaw,' which manages to get more terrifying with each subsequent viewing." - The Talkhouse
