Recently returning to her childhood home of Madagascar after decades living abroad,singer/songwriter Razia Said discovered her country's landscape ravaged by illegal logging, slash and burn agriculture and the impact of climate change. Bringing together a diversemixture of global influences, her songs are now a wake-up call to Malagasy people and people around the globe to protect Madagascar's cultural and environmental heritage.Hosted in conjunction with the "Forests, Families, Lemurs, & Guitars" Madagascar symposium, sponsored by the Kenan Institute for Ethics and the Duke Lemur Center. Additional funding provided by the Duke Africa Initiative and the Office of the Provost.Doors open at 7:00pm, Concert begins at 7:30pm
