The Role of Philanthropy in Resuscitating Local Journalism
Join Professor Joel Fleishman and the President of the Revson Foundation - Julie Sandorf - for a discussion of the role of philanthropy in reviving local journalism initiatives. The Charles H. Revson Foundation is based in New York City and supports programs focused on urban affairs, medical research, education, and Jewish culture. Ms. Sandorf has led the organization as President since 2008.
The Center for Strategic Philanthropy and Civil Society hosts five Foundation Impact Research Group seminars each semester. These seminars recruit and disseminate information from leading national philanthropic organizations. They intend to foster communication, collaboration, and problem-solving around pressing issues of public policy and philanthropy. Events are open to the public and are well attended by faculty, students, and community leaders in the non-profit sector.
