Reception & Open House with Visiting Professor Cristy Road Carrera

A welcoming reception for Cuban-American artist, writer, and musician Cristy Road Carrera, the Spring 2018 Lehman Brady Professor. The visiting joint chair professorship in Documentary Studies and American Studies at Duke and UNC-Chapel Hill is administered by the Center for Documentary Studies (CDS) at Duke.

This event also serves as an open house for any students interested in documentary studies; undergraduate and graduate students from Duke, UNC, North Carolina Central, and North Carolina State can take classes at the Center for Documentary Studies' undergraduate education program.

Carrera will be teaching a new documentary studies course at CDS and UNC this spring, Creating Culture Through Media.
