MEMP Seminar

Speaker Bio: Dr. Kenya Oduor has 18 years of combined human-centered design and corporate leadership and development experiences.
***
In 1999, Dr. Oduor made a career transition and relocated to Raleigh to pursue a graduate degree in Human Factors Psychology at North Carolina State University. In the Spring of 2001, she took a position in IBM's Software Group. IBM is where she was first exposed to the user-centered design process, one of several frameworks that have served to define what Design Thinking is today.
***
In 2009, Dr. Oduor joined LexisNexis to define and implement user-centered design practices and build up a UX team for the company's Software Solutions division. She successfully introduced new organizational practices that helped the teams align the solution definition and design to the expectations of customers. She helped educate the org on what UX is and how it fits within Agile software development.
***
After these practitioner and leadership experiences, the time was right to form Lean Geeks, a firm focused on human-centered solution definition and design. Lean Geeks helps Product and UX teams create human-centered solutions and implement organizational practices that support them.
