7th Annual Sickle Cell Disease Conference

The 7th annual Sickle Cell Disease Conference encompasses a two-day event to discuss the effects and treatment of SCD. The conference will include both lecture and Q&A panels to directly answer participants' questions. This year, we are excited to have a live showing of Spilled Milk followed by a Q&A discussion with the director and main subject of the film.

Spilled Milk follows the friendship of two lifelong best friends - Omar and Jaqai. Omar is living with Sickle Cell Disease and Jaqai has uprooted his life to make a documentary about Omar's everyday life, which extend beyond the significant physical impact of the disease.
