Business Etiquette Luncheon [Registration Required]
Pratt master's students can register at wconline.pratt.duke.edu on the Professional Development Masters F19 schedule. Learn how to project a professional image and optimize confidence in business interactions. Training will include a catered three-course lunch (no charge to students) to demonstrate the art of dining graciously. The facilitator will cover the art of introductions, conducting interesting conversation, electronics/ communication etiquette, interviewing etiquette, public conduct, business meals, and thank-you notes.
Facilitator Bio: Michele Pollard Patrick is a Certified Protocol Officer and has been a business etiquette expert for 20+ years. Michele has helped clients including corporations such as Ely Lilly, Canon, Merrill Lynch and universities such as Duke, Johns Hopkins, Rutgers, William & Mary, and Villanova. She combines effective teaching techniques with a passion for promoting the Etiquette and Protocol skills to succeed in business. Michele has been featured on network and cable television shows as well as in feature articles in the Washington Post and the Washington Times. During her tenure as a corporate trainer at Xerox, Michele learned that nothing advances one's career faster than learning how to be gracious, tactful and confident in one's relationships with others.
