(Re) Imagining Goldberg: Simone Dinnerstein & Pam Tanowitz on their Careers and Collaboration
Gender Wednesday Undergraduate Speaker/Lucheon Series invites Classical pianist Simone Dinnerstein and choreographer Pam Tanowitz discuss their careers and collaboration in the week leading up to the world premiere of New Work for Goldberg Variations in Duke's Reynolds Industries Theater. Moderated by Barbara Dickinson (Duke Dance Program).
Set to Bach's iconic Goldberg Variations, the new piece will be performed by Dinnerstein, one of the foremost Bach interpreters of her generation, alongside Tanowitz's company, which will use a deconstructed classical dance vocabulary to translate Bach's score into movement.
