TNT Colloquium: Deeply virtual Compton scattering: the Compton form factors of the alpha particle [NCSU]

The alpha particle having spin and isospin 0 is the simplest target to study Compton form factors. Despite the fact that it has only a single electromagnetic form factor, the Compton amplitudes depend on three independent Lorentz invariants. The structure of the scattering amplitudes will be discussed, as well as some issues regarding the connection between these Compton form factors and generalized parton distributions (GPDs).
