Duke Consortium for Inflammatory Breast Cancer (IBC): Engaging our Community in IBC Research and Awareness

Join us for the First Annual Meeting of the Duke Consortium for IBC. Our mission is to understand the challenges faced by patients and caregivers with this highly aggressive and often misdiagnosed type of breast cancer that also disproportionately affects African-American women. We expect ideas and partnerships generated from this program to begin development of a strategic plan framework for creating patient and clinical practitioner education and dissemination tools to increase IBC awareness across North Carolina. This meeting will bring together basic, translational, and clinical researchers, physicians, nurses, patients, caregivers, advocates, and community stakeholders.
