Displacement Potluck

Displacement Potluck
Saturday, February 9, 2019, 2pm

Bring a dish and join Renzo Ortega as he explores displacement and immigration through food. Attendees are asked to bring food related to their personal experience of displacement or immigration. For example, an attendee might bring a batch of the cookies they made before they were evicted from their art studio, or the pasta dish they associated with home before moving from one state to another, or the last meal before emigrating to the United States.

Attendees are asked to bring an ingredients list to display next to their dish, for allergy concerns. No RSVP is required, but please give the gallery a call with any questions 919-660-3622. No live flame is allowed in the gallery, but we can accommodate electrical warmers. All plates, napkins and other utensils will be provided by the gallery. Bring your dish, your story, and a willingness to listen!
