How did the new enterprises associated with capitalism transform the economy and businesses in a nineteenth-century European city? This workshop explores this problem for the old commercial center of the Astro-Hungarian Empire in Pest, Hungary. A workshop that examines primary sources and the methods of modern economic history at the community level.
