Speaker Bio: Jon Reifschneider is an Executive in Residence at Duke University's Pratt School of Engineering and serves as Director of the new Master of Engineering in AI for Product Innovation program. Previously, Jon was Senior Vice President and head of the Weather Analytics division at the tech company DTN, where he led his team to create advanced analytics products that are relied on today for daily operations at most of the largest energy utilities, airlines, transportation agencies and agricultural producers in North America and beyond. As a member of the executive team, he led his division through a period of substantial growth and completed the successful sale of the company in 2017. Jon's expertise lies in the application of machine learning and advanced analytics technologies to solve real-world problems and their commercialization into successful products, with a focus on Energy, Transportation and Education.
Jon holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Virginia where he graduated first in his class, a Master of Engineering Management from Duke University, a Global MBA from EBS (Germany), and a M.S. in Analytics from Georgia Tech.
