Audrey Walstrom

Duke Chapel and the Duke Voice Care Center are offering this free, online vocal health workshop with sessions on Wednesdays, September 23 and October 14, at 7:00 p.m. Audrey Walstrom, DMA, MA, CCC-SLP, a clinical singing voice specialist at the Duke Voice Care Center, will lead each one-hour session.

The two-part workshop approaches singers as vocal athletes who need to exercise their voices to avoid vocal injuries and will address vocal challenges during COVID-19. In addition to singers, the workshop is designed for actors, choral directors, music educators, and other performers.

This session focuses on the anatomy of the singing voice, how voice injuries are treated, and how to keep your voice healthy.

Zebulon Highben, director of Chapel Music, will moderate the sessions.

Attendance at the first session of the workshop is not required to participate in the second session.
