Come join us on Tuesday, October 6, as we focus on national security. Stand for Strategy: The National Security Implications of Technology Policy will feature former U.S. Secretary of Defense Ash Carter. The event, brought to you by Duke's American Grand Strategy Program and moderated by Professor David Schanzer, will begin at 6 p.m.

This fall, the Sanford School is organizing a signature virtual speaker series to explore important policy conversations around issues of democracy, justice, equity, community, strategy and human rights in honor of our founder, Terry Sanford, who said to students, "if you get into politics, you ought to get in with the frame of mind that winning is not everything.
