Kit Yan and Melissa Li are a queer Asian American musical theater writing team based in New York City. They are 2019 Dramatists Guild Foundation Fellows, MacDowell Colony Fellows, Lincoln Center Writers-in-Residence, and 2019-2020 Musical Theater Factory MAKERS. Their works include INTERSTATE, "Best Lyrics" winner at the 2018 New York Musical Festival; MISS STEP, a 2019 Vivace Award winner; and most recently, CANCELLED, a one-act musical.

Panelists Jennifer C. Nash (GSFS), Esther Kim Lee (Theater Studies), and Yun Emily Wang (Music), along with the artists, will discuss a performance of INTERSTATE, virtually hosted as a Ruby Friday noon presentation, and explore intersectional identities, performance, and the political potentials of storytelling.
