Duke Libraries

In 2019, Duke Libraries staff conducted a study called "Understanding the experiences and needs of Black students at Duke". They convened discussion groups and did research, including analyzing the Libraries' 2020 student satisfaction survey. Their goal was to "understand students' experiences in the Libraries and on campus to improve how all students interact with library services, facilities, and materials."

Join us on Thursday, Oct. 22 via Zoom to hear from our Duke colleagues Emily Daly and Joyce Chapman about how they did this study and what they learned from it. It will bring great insights to how we can continue to address racial equity on our IT teams and services, even if you don't directly interact with students.
