Dr. Andrew Alspaugh is a physician-scientist with a research focus in the pathogenesis of human fungal infections. His main research interest is to define events that occur during the earliest interaction of fungal pathogens and the infected host. In this way, he explores how these microorganisms sense and adapt to the host environment. He is also interested in exploring more precise measurements of the host response to infections to help better guide therapy
