The 49%: A Women's Right Film Festival

Duke University Honor Council is thrilled to host the 49% Film Festival, a film festival exploring the oppression women experience all over the world as well as the advancement of women's rights. Suhani Jalota, Duke University Alumna '16, CEO and co-founder of the Myna Mahila Foundation, will be our keynote speaker Friday evening. The Myna Mahila Foundation, which teaches women to make menstrual hygiene products, provides them with self-advocacy skills, and ensures access in Mumbai, India to the quality and affordable menstrual hygiene products they create. The festival will be on Friday will be from 7:00-10:00pm and Saturday from 11:00am-3:00pm and the film festival will be hosted at Duke's Nasher Museum of Art.
