Duke Divinity School will celebrate its 93rd Baccalaureate Service with Charles Campbell, Ph.D., D.Min., professor of homiletics at the school, preaching. The service will be held in Duke Chapel. Divinity School Dean L. Gregory Jones selected Campbell to preach at this 90-minute service of worship after graduating students made nominations. The event, which includes a service of investiture in which students receive their academic hoods, is open to the public. It will be webcast live on the Duke Chapel website at https://chapel.duke.edu/dukestream-video-fallback. Persons holding priority seating tickets will be seated beginning at 5:30 p.m., followed by general seating at 6:10 p.m. When the chapel is filled to capacity, staff will direct guests to the overflow seating in Room 0016 of the Westbrook Building at the Divinity School, where they can view a live video stream of the service. Duke Divinity graduating students should meet before Baccalaureate in Goodson Chapel at 5 p.m. to check-in and prepare for the service. A reception will be held immediately after the service in the Divinity Café for all graduates, their families, faculty, and staff.
