Ashura 101

Why do so many Muslims mourn on the Day of Ashura? Join us at the CML on Sunday September 8th and learn more about how Ashura commemorates the death of Husayn ibn Ali, the grandson of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), and his family at the Battle of Karbala on the 10th day of Muharram in the year 61 AH. This Sunday program will consist of a video, a short talk and a Q&A session with Hajj Mustafa Masood, an Islamic scholar visiting from London.
