Serious Play: Assessing Student Learning with Games

Dr. Crider will talk about assessing student learning with games. He will discuss examples of student work, related education research, and the potential for each to be used in the experiential assessment. He will also speak about in-class role-playing and "epic finales," which are designed to provide a closing experience in lieu of typical final exams. Some of these projects will include his ideas on the use of virtual reality in the classroom.
