2019 International Creole Day Celebration

The Center for Latin American & Caribbean Studies' annual celebration of the Creole (Kreyòl) language and culture. Duke Professor David Barry Gaspar will give a lecture (in English): "For the King, Notes on British Recruitment of Slaves for War in the Caribbean, 1756-1763." Duke students Ayanna Legros and Isabel Bradley will also make presentations in Creole. (English translations provided.) Followed by a reception in Franklin Center 130/132. Free and open to the public.
