Americanist Speaker Series

The Americanist Speaker Series is an informal group of graduate students and professor from Duke University, UNC-Chapel Hill, and other institutions throughout the Research Triangle who gather several times a year to discuss the work of our invited guests.

The scope of the series is as broad as our conception of the term "Americanist": we're interested in bringing together graduate students and faculty in a forum that interrogates how we delineate "Americanist" within and across disciplinary, geographic, and thematic lines. The Speaker Series thus serves to enable the formation of a community of scholars, and offers the opportunity for us to think through how our work might variously configure possibilities for those engaged with work on, in, and beyond the Americas.
