Inside the Boardroom: Gender Diversity in Venture Capital
Data shows that gender-diverse executive teams outperform financially, yet still only about 15% of VC dollars go to companies with women on their leadership teams (and less than 3% to all-women teams). Meanwhile, less than 10% of venture capitalist partners are women (and that percentage is in the low-single digits when considering specifically those who have the power to make investment decisions). And that matters, because women-led teams are more likely to get investment from VC funds with women partners. Kerry's talk will discuss the financial return opportunities of investing in women-led companies, and also about the benefits of women AS investors.
