Reinventing the Grid: National and Regional Trends

Join the Duke University Energy Initiative and the Research Triangle Cleantech Cluster as we welcome Greentech Media journalist (and Duke alumnus) Julian Spector back to North Carolina for a chat about nationwide trends in grid modernization. Julian will be joined by Bobby Simpson (Director of Grid Improvement Plan Integration, Duke Energy), who'll share his perspective on grid modernization efforts in our region, including energy storage, renewables, grid resiliency, and communications/security upgrades. Networking and light refreshments will follow. Parking will be available in the Chemistry lot adjacent to Gross Hall beginning at 1 p.m.
