Black Panther, Wakanda and Liberation

A panel discussion on the film Black Panther. Panelists April Harris-Britt, John Blackshear, Wahneema Lubiano and Kenya Harris will discuss themes in the film such as self-protection v. communalism, the ancestral plane, Afrofuturism and the box office success of a film featuring an all black cast, black director and located in Africa.

Mark Anthony Neal, chair of the Department of African and African American Studies, will moderate.
