RESILE Presents: Resilient Voices
Climate change poses multiple, interacting risks to the well-being of humans and the environment, which are only expected to intensify. Reduction of CO2 emissions must be our primary focus, as this is the only effective way to address the root cause of climate change. Therefore, we must develop approaches for managing the risks of climate change that can no longer be avoided through emissions reductions alone.
Duke RESILE invites undergraduate students to join an impactful campus summit featuring prominent speakers and panelists who have significantly contributed to climate research, policy, and resilience. This event will bring together experts actively shaping the future of climate action to discuss key challenges and insights, offering students a chance to engage with leaders in the field. Additionally, the event will showcase a research and gallery exhibition, highlighting innovative projects that explore climate impacts, resilience, and community perspectives.
Students attending the summit will have the opportunity to learn about diverse experiences with climate risk and resilience. Insights and themes from these stories will be compiled into a report to guide future climate research and policy recommendations, ensuring that research efforts reflect the lived experiences of those facing the realities of climate change.
This is a unique opportunity for students to contribute to a meaningful dialogue on climate resilience and help shape a more inclusive, community-centered approach to climate research.
Join us in a transformative experience where we can together help create climate solutions for a resilient future together.
