Duke East Asian Faculty End-of-Semester / Winter Retreat

As the semester concludes, we invite Duke's East Asian faculty to a day dedicated to reflection, community building, and personal projects. The retreat includes a one-hour morning meditation workshop led by Dr. Maya McNeilly, with breakfast, lunch, and refreshments provided. Participants can enjoy a flexible day, choosing to engage in structured activities or focus on their personal projects as they prefer.
Participants will also receive copies of Cathy Park Hong's Minor Feelings: An Asian American Reckoning and The Vegetarian by Han Kang (the 2024 Nobel Literature Prize winner).
Registration: Space is limited. Registration closes when the retreat is full. Priority registration is given to East Asian faculty, but the Retreat is also open to members of the broader campus community who are interested in East Asian Cultures. Please register under More Information.
Duke Faculty Advancement Seed Grant program is the funding mechanism for this event.
