How has your study abroad experience, particularly in the Middle East or a similar cultural setting, influenced your understanding of global diversity?
In what ways can cross-cultural exchange transform personal perspectives and professional practices?
How can your personal insights help others bridge cultural divides in future exchanges in the Middle East?
This roundtable discussion brings together students from Duke and institutional partners in Morocco. Participants will share firsthand experiences of living, learning, or interacting with American students in Morocco. The conversation highlights how immersion in a new culture through human interaction has deepened their perspectives and fostered personal growth and cultural understanding. The discussion will showcase real-world examples of how cross-cultural exchanges can lead to innovative educational practices and strengthen global networks related to the Middle East. Ultimately, the roundtable aims to inspire a commitment to cultural diplomacy and collaborative learning that transcends geographical and social boundaries.
