Theatre of the World: Exhibit Open House

Join curator Samuel Horewood in the Michael and Karen Stone Family Gallery for a discussion of the recently installed exhibition "Theatre of the World". The exhibition explores the global vision of the 16th century through Theatrum Orbis Terrarum, the world's first atlas, and displays perspectives of the Americas, Africa, Asia, and Europe, alongside contemporary rare maps, accounts, and early scientific explorations of the pre-modern world.Sam Horewood is a PhD Candidate in the Duke University History Department, and a Rubenstein Library intern.
