4:30 pm - 5:30 pm

This group is designed for international students who are actively engaged in career exploration and/or the job & internship search process. Join the Duke Career Center for a 5-week program facilitated by career advisers and campus partners. In this group setting, you will:
Connect your skills, interests, and values to a wide range of occupations
Learn about key job/internship search strategies and resources for international students
Understand common work authorization pathways in the USA
Build supportive connections with peers
...and more!
This program combines exploration with practical job/internship search strategies and is most appropriate for international students who plan to graduate in May 2025 or later. This group is open to undergraduate juniors and seniors as well as graduate students enrolled in programs of Trinity, The Graduate School, the Divinity School, the Master of Biostatistics and MS in Population Health Sciences. Participants should commit to attending all sessions. Group Format: While the group will include some instructional and educational elements, the majority of the time will be dedicated to informal, peer-led discussions. This is not a workshop series; instead, it's a space for you to share your challenges and experiences with peers, exchange advice, and receive input from campus partners. Expectations: This is a five-week group which will meet Wednesdays from 4:30 - 5:30pm on October 2nd, 9th, 23rd, 30th, and November 6th. We ask that you commit to participate in all five weeks. Registration via Handshake is required to participate. Benefits: By participating in this group, you will connect with a supportive community of fellow job/internship seekers and learn key information from experts at Duke. Upon completion of this group, you will receive a physical and digital certificate of completion to share on LinkedIn and other professional platforms. With your consent, the Duke Career Center will make a LinkedIn post announcing your completion of the program to the Duke Alumni Network.
