The event is a moderated conversation between Vice Chairman Hill and Professor Ellen Meade about current topics in banking. There will be an opportunity for audience Q&A after the conversation. Reception to follow outside Westbrook 012.

Travis Hill has been the Vice Chairman of the FDIC Board of Directors. Prior to assuming that role in 2023, he advised the FDIC Chairman from 2018 to 2022, where he oversaw and coordinated regulatory and policy initiatives at the agency and advised the Chairman on regulatory and policy matters.

Prior to joining the FDIC, Mr. Hill served as Senior Counsel at the United States Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs, where he worked from 2013 to 2018.

Mr. Hill received a BS in Economics from Duke in 2006. He also holds a Juris Doctor degree from Georgetown University Law Center.
