DUSON 6th Annual Community Health Lecture

Community health nursing is increasingly called upon to address complex health challenges shaped by social determinants of health, health inequities, and evolving community needs. This annual Community Health Lecture will explore the future of community health nursing through the interconnected lenses of data, place, and partnership. Drawing on examples from research, practice, evaluation, and policy, nurse scientist Kelli DePriest, PhD, RN, will examine how community health nurses can use data-driven insights, place-based perspectives, and cross-sector collaborations to better understand and respond to population health challenges. Participants will gain a deeper appreciation for community health nursing as an expansive and analytic field and identify strategies to strengthen the profession through education, investment, leadership, and collaborative action.
