Jewish Studies Research Symposium
The Sperling Center for Jewish Studies invites students, faculty, and community members to attend the 2026 Jewish Studies Annual Research Symposium on Sunday, November 1, 2026. This annual event showcases innovative research by Duke undergraduate and graduate students, as well as affiliated fellows, whose work engages Jewish history, culture, religion, literature, politics, and society across diverse geographical and historical contexts.
The symposium provides an opportunity for emerging scholars to present original research, share recent findings, and engage in interdisciplinary conversations with faculty, students, and members of the broader community. Presentations highlight the breadth of scholarship taking place across Duke and demonstrate the vibrant intellectual life fostered by the Center for Jewish Studies.
The symposium is free and open to the public. A detailed program, including presentation titles, speakers, and schedule information, will be announced closer to the event date.
