Thursday, June 20, 2024
6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Thursdays at the Nasher

June 19, 1865, widely known as Juneteenth, marks the day that enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas, were informed of their freedom. In commemoration of the long-held fight for freedom, we invite you to celebrate Juneteenth at the Nasher! This event will feature performances by spoken word artists, a poetry writing workshop, interactive art experiences and more. Cash bar.

The museum is closed Wednesday, June 19, in observance of the national holiday.
