Duke Medicine, Literature, & Culture (MCL) Celebration featuring Grace Li
Free books for the first 100 attendees as well as free food for all who attend!
On Saturday, April 16th, Duke Medical Ethics Journal (dukemedicalethicsjournal.com) will be co-hosting Grace Li (Duke Biology (B.S.) class of 2017), Netflix optioned author of Portrait of a Thief and medical student at Stanford (https://www.gracedli.com/about), in a combined event with the Duke English Department, Global Health Institute, Asian American & Diaspora Studies, DEMAN, and Duke Arts. As Duke's first ever literature, medicine, and culture celebration, this event will be held in Love Auditorium from 6pm-8pm, coinciding with DMEJ's Spring 2022 journal launch as well as the AAPIHM committee's heritage month celebration.
We will be giving out a free copy of Grace's book to the first 100 people to sign up AND show up at the event. There will also be catering from several local restaurants + Q&A with Grace about her journey from Duke undergrad to Stanford Medical School. If you're interested in attending, please sign up here and follow @dukemclcelebration on instagram.
